February Camp saw the Brass and Percussion engaging in the
2006 summer show. Both sections took advantage of the ensemble
time which allowed us to gauge the progress made with the
sections. The camp also gave the staff an opportunity to explain
the show concept to the members, which left them with a future
image of what is yet to come with the design package. The
approach with the early staging of the design team has paid
off and the Corps intention is now to look ahead and start
tracking in early March ready for the opening drill sets which
are due in mid March. We also had some visitors from the Romford
RBL Band who experienced Drum Corps and the social atmosphere
of the Corps with the usual bonding on the Saturday night.
Visitors from the Boy's Brigade in Tewkesbury called in to
see what was happening and were more then impressed with the
sight and sounds of the Corps. It is still early days, however
the members are in good spirits and are displaying a challenging
attitude to the 2006 season.
The corps once again were fed like Kings thanks to the team
of volunteers who make this possible. A big thanks also goes
out to the staff who are working hard to put 37th back on
the Drum Corps map.
